The demolition of Belk’s project required the double separation of the existing structure from the corporate office building using a mobile shear. As the demolition continued, in order to protect the remaining operational structure, the detachment was completed by surgically detaching the joists/beams and creating a temporary wall. The 90,000 square foot showroom was previously used as a furniture showroom and production facility.
Big Dog Demolition recycled 80% of the debris from this project that included pre-cast concrete, concrete slab and steel.
