BIG DOG IN ACTION
Home Depot Demolition
Miami, FL
This project consisted of the demolition of an existing strip mall to
make way for an upcoming Home Depot.
The project was a total of 215,000SF with live utility lines inside
three feet of the building footprint. Big Dog Demolition took special
care to not disturb the natural gas and live electrical lines.
This was a unique project due to the multiple methods of construction
used while the structure was being erected many years ago. A separation
from an operational clothing store was necessary to ensure a safe completion
of this project. This project was completed without disturbing the day-to-day
operations of the neighboring stores.
Big Dog Demolition recycled in excess of 85% of all materials produced.
We crushed all concrete to a 2” minus product for use in the upcoming
construction. This helped with keeping the project in budget and on schedule.
